GRACE CANON
Dance Instructor/Choreographer
Grace is currently a student at the University of Hartford where she is studying to be a special education teacher. She is on the Hartford dance team where she is head of fundraising and works to get the team all of the supplies they need while also working hard on dances to be performance ready. She is also working on getting her degree in dance education where she hopes to teach others the love of dance.
Grace’s dance career started at the age of 2 where she trained at a local dance studio in Agawam, Massachusetts. As her love for dance grew, she attended the Connecticut Concert Ballet during her middle school years and the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts at the beginning of high school. When she made the decision to leave the academy, she went and trained at Angela’s Studio of Dance in Windsor Locks, CT where she fell in love with assistant teaching. Additionally, during her high school years, Grace performed in show choir, participated in school plays and assistant choreographed dances for the plays. These experiences have not only helped in perfecting her dance and stage skills, but also in learning the skills necessary to teach dance and help others learn to love the art. Grace is excited to start this new journey with The Dance Studio of Windsor Locks!
